Who we are

BarSongTrivia is a live music trivia platform for bars and venues, operated at barsongtrivia.com. You can reach us at barsongtrivia@gmail.com.

What we collect

Host accounts: When you sign up as a host, we collect your name and email address. Payment information (credit card details) is collected and stored by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.

Players: Players join a game session using only a display name of their choosing. We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information to play.

Contact form: If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message in order to respond to your inquiry.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the BarSongTrivia service
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets)
• To respond to support and sales inquiries
• To keep the service running and improve it over time

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising.

Third-party services

We use the following services to operate BarSongTrivia:

• Supabase — database and real-time session infrastructure
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription management
• Vercel — hosting and deployment
• Resend — transactional email delivery

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

Data retention

Host account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you cancel and request deletion, we will remove your account and associated data within 30 days. Player session data (display names and scores) is retained for the duration of a game session and may be retained for a short period afterward for support purposes.

Cookies

We use a single authentication cookie to keep host accounts logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing barsongtrivia@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify active hosts by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
